A. How much did you understand?

 

Adiberga married the rich man but Adiberga's fourth brother did not forget his sister. He was looking for Adiberga far and wide.

Put sentences 16, 17 and 18 in the right order.

  1. "But is he disabled?" Adiberga said. "Can he walk?"
  2. One day, he came to the rich man's house.
  3. "I have no relatives," Adiberga said. "I have only one brother, and he is disabled.”

 

 B. Words beginning with t...

 

Adiberga welcomed her young brother to her house and warned him about her rich husband. 

Fill in the missing words. They all begin with the letter "t".

A. When...

 

Here are three sentences starting with ‘When’. The endings have been mixed up.

Complete sentences 1, 2 and 3 by choosing the best of the three endings: a, b or c.

D. Showing how you feel

 

Adiberga talked in different ways to her oldest brother and to her youngest brother.   Read these six sentences. Three of them show that she loved her youngest brother and three of them show that she did not like her oldest brother. Which are which?

  1. "Oh, my dear, dear brother!" she said. "Come into the house.”
  2. He looked at Adiberga but she didn't look at him.
  3. “You must rest, and I will make a delicious meal for you to eat."
  4. She didn’t kiss her brother.
  5. Adiberga did not smile at him.
  6. “Listen carefully to his words, and do the opposite."
